Several prominent altcoins are expected to move out of the «waiting room.» This could potentially extend the crypto rally into the first quarter of 2026, according to former Goldman Sachs CEO Raoul Pal.

He noted that the Total3 index, which measures the market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies except BTC and ETH, is «ready for takeoff.»

The OTHER metric — referring to digital assets outside the top 10 by market capitalization — is still in «waiting mode,» the expert specified.

Pal highlighted a few specific coins:

«People need to learn patience. The path is clear, but you should never expect a perfect outcome. Order is what matters,» added the former Goldman Sachs CEO.

He emphasized that the rate of changes in the key indicator of overall global liquidity is only set to increase, as the U.S., EU, China, and Japan must refinance their debts.

«This is an absurdly optimistic backdrop, coupled with shifts in regulatory frameworks, digital asset technologies, the accumulation of government bonds, and the engagement of Wall Street,» Pal believes.

It’s worth noting that Bitfinex analysts suggest that the altcoin season will not commence until the approval of higher-risk cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds.
