Adapting to New Challenges: Brendon Biro on His Transition to Ak Bars and Life in Kazan

Forward of Ak Bars, **[Brendan Biro](https://example.com)**, shared his thoughts on moving to the KHL and his adaptation to life in Russia and Kazan.

**– How has your first week in Kazan been?**
– It’s been wonderful so far. The staff has been incredibly supportive, and my teammates have welcomed me warmly. Everyone is friendly and easy to talk to. I’m really enjoying my time with the club.

**– Moving to the KHL represents a new challenge for you. What are your expectations for the league?**
– I believe I’ll need some time to adjust. I don’t speak Russian, which might pose some challenges, but Dmitry Yashkin has been a great help. We’re currently playing on the same line, he speaks English well, and translates all the coaching instructions, so I shouldn’t encounter major issues. I’m really looking forward to the start of the season and can’t wait to begin playing.

**– When do you think you’ll be 100% ready?**
– I think it will be soon. I’m still getting accustomed to the timezone changes; the flight was quite long and exhausting. I also need to adjust to the food and water—often, I’m not even sure what I’m eating; I hope it’s chicken. However, I believe everything will normalize in a couple of days. Today at practice I felt much better than I did the day before, — quotes Biro the official website of Ak Bars.
