Daniel Vávra Surprised by Lack of Complaints on Balance Issues in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

Warhorse Studios is currently working on balancing changes for combat and the economy in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. The game’s lead developer, Daniel Vávra, talked about these issues during a charitable stream, which successfully raised over 3 million Czech koruna (approximately $125,000).

Vávra admitted that he was surprised by the low number of gamers who report an easy time earning wealth in the later stages of the game. He noted that as time goes on, Indřich accumulates valuable gear quickly, while merchants often lack enough funds to purchase it.

The developers are aware of these issues and ultimately plan to address them, but currently, the studio is unsure about the timing for those changes. Many players are actively engaged with the game, and Warhorse Studios is cautious about altering the balance, particularly regarding combat, while players are in the middle of their adventures. Additionally, according to Vávra, testing a new version alone takes around 2-3 weeks, not including brainstorming and implementing ideas.

As a reminder, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. The Russian localization of the text is intact.
