Asus Launches Self-Calibrating 4K Monitor ProArt PA32UCE with Built-In Colorimeter

Asus has unveiled its professional monitor, the ProArt PA32UCE. This model features a built-in colorimeter that allows for automatic color calibration without the need for additional hardware or software.

Users can activate this functionality through either the on-screen menu or the proprietary application available for Windows and macOS.

The 31.5-inch monitor utilizes an IPS panel with a refresh rate of 60 Hz and employs LED backlighting instead of the more advanced mini-LED technology.

The peak brightness of the display reaches up to 600 nits, and it supports HDR10 and HLG formats. The screen boasts a 4K resolution, a contrast ratio of 1000:1, and covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color space. Additionally, it features LuxPixel coating to reduce glare, minimizing reflections while maintaining accurate color reproduction.

The monitor automatically adjusts brightness using a built-in ambient light sensor.

When connected to a laptop via USB-C, the monitor can deliver up to 96 watts of power for charging. Moreover, the ProArt PA32UCE is equipped with two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, two HDMI 2.0 ports, a USB hub (one USB-C and two USB-A), and a KVM switch, enabling control of two PCs with a single set of keyboard and mouse.

This model also includes two 2-watt speakers and a stand with adjustable height, tilt, and rotation capabilities.

The monitor was first announced at the end of last year and showcased at CES 2025. The ProArt PA32UCE is now available for purchase, priced at $1199.

Meanwhile, ViewSonic has introduced the VX25G26-2K-3 monitor, which features a Fast IPS panel with a resolution of 2560×1440 (2K) and a refresh rate of 300 Hz, which can be overclocked to 320 Hz. The monitor supports HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4. It offers a response time of 1 ms, a contrast ratio of 1000:1, and supports HDR, as well as AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync for tear-free gaming experiences.
