Очередь на стейкинг Ethereum достигла рекорда, опередив запросы на вывод средств Translation: Ethereum Staking Queue Hits Record, Surpassing Withdrawal Requests

For the first time since July, the waiting list for Ethereum’s staking has surpassed that for withdrawals. This is indicated by data from the Validator Queue service.

As of this writing, approximately 745,619 ETH (with a waiting period of about 13 days) are awaiting entry into the contract address, while 360,518 ETH (eight days) are queued for unlocking.

The shift in trend occurred on December 27, when the figures equalized at around 460,000 coins.

Abdul, the Head of DeFi at the L1 network Monad, pointed out that a similar trend reversal in queues was observed in June. Following that, the price of Ethereum doubled, reaching an all-time high of $4,946 by August.

The expert anticipates that, given the current dynamics, the queue for withdrawals will clear by January 3. According to him, this will ease selling pressure on the asset.

“In this context, the outlook for Ethereum appears promising,” Abdul stated.

At the time of writing, the cryptocurrency’s price stands at approximately $3,000. Over the past 24 hours, the asset has increased by 2.5% amid a rally in precious metals and dollar weakness.

Dylan Grabowski, host of the Smart Economy podcast, linked the changes in queues to aggressive buying by large treasury companies like BitMine, followed by locking up the coins.

The expert’s assumptions are supported by on-chain data. According to Lookonchain, since December 27, BitMine has staked 342,560 ETH, amounting to around $1 billion.

A researcher under the pseudonym Ignas highlighted three potential reasons for the imbalance.

It is worth noting that in September, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin explained the rationale behind the queue for withdrawing ETH from staking.
