Илон Маск представит конкурент Википедии: Grokipedia для «истинной» информации Headline: Elon Musk to Launch Wikipedia Competitor: Grokipedia for True Information

Elon Musk’s AI startup xAI is set to launch an «early beta version» of Grokipedia, a competitor to Wikipedia. According to the entrepreneur, this service will address «falsehoods and half-truths.»

Details about the project remain under wraps. Previously, Musk had stated that Grokipedia would function as an «open-source knowledge repository.»

The idea for the project emerged at the All-In Podcast summit in September. During his address, Musk explained that the Grok AI model scans various sources to verify information accuracy and then rewrites it to convey the «whole truth.»

One of the hosts suggested Musk should roll out Grokipedia as a standalone service, to which he replied that he would discuss it with his team.

Musk has long criticized Wikipedia, accusing the platform of disinformation, bias, and censorship. In October 2023, he even proposed a $1 billion payment if the site changed its name to Dikipedii.

This critique is echoed by Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger, who left the project in 2002. In a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, he claimed that the platform engages in censorship, stating that a «whole army of administrators» blocks users due to ideological disputes.

xAI’s ambitions extend beyond creating an encyclopedia. Musk also mentioned that the company’s division would release an AI-generated game by the end of next year.

To recall, in August xAI filed a lawsuit against Apple and OpenAI, accusing them of an «anti-competitive scheme.»
