ИИ-функция Dear Algo в Threads: персонализируйте контент по своему вкусу Translation: Headline: AI Feature Dear Algo in Threads: Personalize Content to Your Liking

The corporation Meta has unveiled an AI feature called Dear Algo. This tool enables Threads users to tailor content recommendation algorithms to their preferences.

To utilize this feature, users must inform the tool about the types of content they wish to see. The process begins by making a public post that starts with the phrase Dear Algo.

The functionality is similar to how individuals interact with chatbots like OpenAI’s ChatGPT using text prompts.

«Once a user submits their request, the service adjusts the feed for three days, ensuring that the user stays updated on the most relevant discussions,» company representatives stated.

Users can also repost another person’s Dear Algo request to apply their content preferences to their own feed.

“We aim for Dear Algo to make Threads feel more personalized—whether you’re keeping up with trending topics or exploring niche interests. It’s another way to help you discover the latest discussions that truly matter,” the corporation mentioned in its blog.

The tool has been launched in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand, with plans for a rollout in other countries at a later date.

This introduction aligns with Meta’s strategy to integrate artificial intelligence into its suite of products. In February, the company added new AI capabilities to Facebook to enhance communication and creativity.

The update includes animated avatars, tools for styling photos in Stories and Memories, as well as dynamic backgrounds for text posts.

To support these initiatives, the corporation plans to increase its capital expenditures on AI to between $115–135 billion, nearly double last year’s budget.

Launched in July 2023 as a competitor to X, the Threads platform reported 400 million monthly active users and a global rollout of advertising last month.

In January 2026, CEO Mark Zuckerberg confirmed the company’s focus on testing new AI features amidst ongoing investments in data centers and computing power.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that in April 2025, Meta introduced a standalone application for the Meta AI assistant. This digital assistant was previously accessible through WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger.
