Биткоин достиг нового рекорда, но большинство инвесторов не осознают его значимость Translation: Bitcoin Reaches New Record, but Most Investors Remain Unaware of Its Significance

On October 5, the pioneering cryptocurrency reached a new all-time high (ATH) of $125,708.

By the time of this writing, the asset had corrected to $124,900. In the past week, Bitcoin saw a 14% increase.

Other cryptocurrencies had a muted response to the flagship’s ATH achievement. Ethereum tested the $4,600 mark but reverted to $4,500.

Solana surged to $235 (up 2.5% over 24 hours), while Dogecoin climbed to $0.26 (up 2.3%).

In the last 24 hours, liquidation volumes reached $345 million, with $220 million attributed to short positions.

Analyst known as Rekt Capital stated that if Bitcoin can convincingly surpass the $126,500 threshold, the price is likely to rise significantly and swiftly.

Nate Geraci, president of Nova Dius Wealth, commented on the new record with irony:

«Bitcoin has reached a new all-time high… yet most people still don’t know what it is.»

Meanwhile, according to Glassnode, the total balance of Bitcoin on centralized exchanges has dropped to a six-year low of 2.83 million BTC. Over the past 30 days, nearly 170,000 BTC have been withdrawn from trading platforms.

Matthew Sigel, head of digital asset research at VanEck, pointed out that «exchanges are abandoning Bitcoin.» He believes that on October 6, Monday, we could see the «first official shortage.»

«Not financial advice. But it might be worth considering buying some coins,» he added.

Investor and trader Mike Alfred shared that he spoke with “a guy who manages the most crucial over-the-counter trading department.” According to him, at the current trading volumes, platforms will fully run out of Bitcoin for sale within two hours after the futures market opens on Monday unless the price climbs to $126,000–$129,000.

Let’s recall that a CryptoQuant expert using the pseudonym PelinayPA confirmed a «healthy dynamic» for Bitcoin. Analysts have also identified conditions for the first cryptocurrency to rise to $200,000.
